Reason for SCIS:
I met Will for the first time a couple days after his injury while he was in the hospital. The months that followed, I got to know him very well visiting him with my fiance while he was in rehab in Denver. I was so impressed with his ability to maintain a positive attitude all the times, and with his sweet wheelchair skills that I learned to perfect with his coaching. I ran the Chicago marathon in 2006 and it didn't end pretty, so it took the opportunity to run it for SCIS with Will that made me want to accept the challenge for the second time. I look forward to this opportunity to raise money for SCIS, and hopefully beat Will in the marathon!
