Marathon Time Goal:

Reason for SCIS:

In 2011, SCI research has never been more promising, while funding has never been more scarce. This is a critical time to be an SCIS donor. I see my fellow disabled community torn between the hope of a better life and frustration with the indifference of society. Each day insurance costs more and covers less, government austerity hits the weakest the hardest. If SCIS can help get us to a day when spinal cords are routinely repaired and healed with cure technology, we can alleviate the suffering of 5+ million Americans afflicted with some degree of paralysis.

Once again I am proud to be a part of 2011 version of Team SCIS in our fourth year at the Chicago Marathon. Each year I am surprised and humbled by the inspiring individual stories of our team members. Training for a marathon is a physically grueling endeavor through fatigue and injury; asking friends, family and coworkers for charitable dollars on top of it all is truly admirable. I cannot stress how important your funds are for the SCI community. Thank you for your support.
