Reason for SCIS:
Last year was my first experience running for this great charity. My goal to finish the marathon was accomplished, but not in the fashion I would have liked. A training injury prior to the race made the 26.2 miles seem like an eternity...in fact it was an eternity. I finally crossed the finish line after 5 hours and 32 minutes. This year I've got my brother coming all the way from Oklahoma to join me for the run with SCIS, and we've been keeping each other motivated. This year, my goal is to knock an hour and a half off last year's time, but an even more important goal is to continue raising money for a great organization.
