Inspiration:
After having an artificial disc put in my back last year, I realize how much worse things could be. I wanted to run this marathon as a way to tell myself I have recovered from a very invasive surgery. While looking at the list of charities that I could run for, I came across SCIS. It seemed like something I could almost relate to. The distinctive name gives it that much more appeal!
