Inspiration:

Running, for me, goes far beyond the physical benefits. It's a chance for me to center myself. It's my stress relief, it's my therapy, it's how I get to know myself and it's how I make myself better. I started running a long time ago at varying levels but over the last several years it has become more apart of who I am. I believe in living on three tiers: body, mind, soul...and running helps me with all three aspects. SCIS is all about bettering yourself and focusing on living a healthy and productive lifestyle. I was able to run with SCIS last year and it was a blast. Between the training and the fund raising it was my best Chicago Marathon to-date and I am looking forward to another successful year in 2010.
